No matter if you are new to teaching, returning after a break or teaching continuously - its always good to take an hour and review your business
2020 was the year of pause. 2021 will be the year of starting over. Join Sara Shrapnell, author of "Teaching Belly Dance" and Co-owner at the Belly Dance Business Academy as she talks strategies to promote your classes, engage your students and build a strong business. No matter if you are new to teaching, thinking about teaching in the future, or have been teaching for many years, everyone needs to reassess their teaching business for the new normal. This is part of the Belly Dance Business Academy’s contribution to making 2021 a year of success.
Sara Shrapnell spent 12 years teaching, performing and hosting events in the UK before moving to the Bay Area of San Francisco in 2011. Her classes are known for their humor, detailed breakdowns and cultural context. She adapts her lessons to suit the dancers, their needs and aims. Students who have studied with Sara have gone on to teach and perform in all styles of belly dance and many have made their living through performance or teaching. Sara’s books “Teaching Belly Dance” and “Becoming a Belly Dancer: From Student to Stage” are available on Amazon.
