Build Your Signature Dance Program

Does this sound like you?

You see 2021 as a challenge and an opportunity. For the first time since you began dancing and creating, the market is open to “regular” dancers. You don’t need gobs of money and connections to get to a festival or better yet, teach there. You are ready to share your innovations in the global online marketplace but you don’t know how to move beyond your local influence.

You have the ideas, you have the passion, you even have some of the framework already figured out.

You are excited about your unique style and movements and are ready to create a signature dance program to share but you don’t know where to start.

Here is the plan:

You will join other innovative, courageous dancers who are also on a similar journey every other week for curriculum and the opportunity to immediately apply what you learned to your own signature dance program.

Month 1- Define Your Superpower

You are unique and magnificent. You have special gifts to offer the global dance community. No one else, no matter if they do the same style as you or even had the same instructors, offers the same gifts. In fact, if you don’t offer what you have, no one else WILL.

In this session, you will define your unique superpower (e.g., gift, voice, brilliance…). Your uniqueness is grounded in your values and your dance program will be a synthesis of your history, dance lineage, personality, values and creativity.

Month 2- Defining Your Ideal Client and Target Market

Your ideal client and target market are a reflection of your uniqueness. You can create circumstances (and materials) to attract the type of students YOU WANT to attract and work with in your program. You just need to be very clear about who that is. Once you know who your target market is, you will craft and share your story. Your story will resonate in such a way that your ideal client sees themselves in your community.

Month 3- Creating a Business Plan

A business plan, like a choreography, helps you to express yourself in harmony with the music or path you have created. It doesn’t have to be a frumpy legalese document that sits on a shelf. Instead, YOUR business plan will be an exciting roadmap for your journey to success. This is the part where you get to incorporate your values in the creation of your business.

Month 4- Your Signature Program

What?!? We are waiting until session 4 to even talk about our signature programs?!? Why? Well, up until now, you are mapping the song, feeling it’s rhythm in your bones and imagining the possibilities for expression in your life. You have laid the groundwork for successful actualization. Finally, you get to plan your program. Terri will share the lessons learned from many dancers who she has helped guide through this process so that your journey will be smooth and successful!

Session 5- Your Signature Program- Developing Your Content

In this session, we will develop and add form to your content. Using adult learning principles, you will design a program that is engaging and targeted to your adult learners. You will decide how to structure your content and what types of content to offer by taking into consideration your goals, values, target client and target price point.

Session 6- Your Signature Program- Sharing Your Program with the World

It is time to reveal your brilliance to the world! How will you tell people about your program? The only way to fail at marketing is to not do it. However, there are some ways that allow you to more directly succeed than others. You will create a marketing plan that is manageable, targeted and will ultimately be scalable.

Session 7- FREE BONUS month- Ready, set, launch!!

In our final gathering, we will share our programs with each other in order to get praise, feedback and energy. You will set a timeline for launch and learn why you don’t want to be fully finished with your content BEFORE you launch!
