Your Instructor
Dawn Devine aka Davina has been involved professionally with the world of belly dancing for more than 30 years. Her primary focus has been writing and publishing books about costume and dance including the best selling Embellished Bras, the seminal Cloth of Egypt: All About Assiut , and her latest book, Zills: Music on Your Fingertips. Recently, she has co-authored Becoming a Belly Dancer: From Student to Stage with author/instructor Sara Shrapnell, photographer Alisha Westerfeld, and international pro-dancer and stylist Poppy Maya. Davina hosts a an informative blog on her website Studio Davina, where she writes on the subjects of belly dance costume and appearance.
