Why Every Teacher Should Have a Pinterest Board
Everything You Need to Know about Pinterest For Your Belly Dance Business
Social media marketing is one of the hottest marketing avenues available to find and reach potential customers, and then convert them to your services and products. There is much to learn and know about social media marketing and a savvy business owner needs to take the time to stay on top of the trends in order to have an advantage on the market.
Creating a business Pinterest account is one of the easiest ways to get started on social media as a small business owner, and it is also a very accessible platform to provide information to your existing clients and students.
In this lesson we’ll talk about what Pinterest is, who is using Pinterest, the advantages it has for businesses, and how you might use it to help your current students, and help you find new ones.
Your Instructor

I married in 2002 and moved from my home state of Michigan to Illinois where my husband was attending school. I didn’t have any friends or family in the area so I decided to take a class in order to meet people. The local parks & recreation facility offered a variety of classes, but it was the bellydance class that intrigued me.
I experimented in several different styles, both as a soloist and as a troupe member, but I found my bellydance home in American Tribal Style® in 2007 when I attended the Trillium Tribal Pura workshop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I received my General Skills certificate in 2008, and Teacher Training and Sister Studio status in 2009.
I relocated to Kansas City, MO in 2010 and have built my bellydance skillset not only as a dancer, but also as a business owner, creative director, and event coordinator. I have a growing business in the Kansas City area and I am an influential leader in my local bellydance community. I have coordinated efforts with Jenn Kasper (Sister Studio St. Louis) and Maria Fabiana Liska (Sister Studio Kansas City, KS) to host workshops and bring top instructors to the Midwest for the benefit of our greater regional community.
I re-certified in General Skills (2014) and I am a graduate of the Advanced Teacher Training program (2015). While I am still an ATS® student, and a student in the small-business world as well, I want to offer you my own experience and insights into building your bellydance business.
