Kelly will share her top 10 tips for self care.
Kelly is a Fusion Bellydancer based in Milwaukee, WI. She began her bellydance career with the Improvisational Tribal Style Bellydance Troupe, Barika Bellydance in 2003. In 2007, Kelly became a soloist and studied various forms of bellydance and began learning Eastern European Romany Folk Dance from her teacher Elaina Qureshi. The fusion of these elements helped Kelly create her own unique style which is a combination of bellydance, folk dance and skirtwork. In 2011, she began learning traditional Russian Romany dance from her teacher Viktoria Mitlyng.
Kelly has taught and performed throughout the Midwest and at Waking Persephone in Seattle. She has been featured in Fuse magazine and “I Bellydance Because”. She is known for her lively performances and use of a big skirt.
She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has taken additional coursework in Movement and Dance Therapy. Kelly incorporates the therapeutic aspects of movement and dance into her performance and teaching modalities. She looks forward to covering such topics as Self-care, Creating Your Own Style, The Brain Chemistry of Dance, and Following Your Heart: The Journey of Dance.
